Privacy Policy

Last updated October 13, 2026

Second Dawn helps people remove intimate images and other content that was shared without their consent. We know that privacy matters most to the people who come to us, so we keep this policy short and plain.

This policy covers this website, seconddawn.org, and email you send us. Our confidential help service runs at seconddawn.ai (where "Get Confidential Help" takes you). When you use it, the information you give there is handled by that service.

What this website collects

This website is a set of informational pages. It has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no advertising, no analytics or tracking tools, and no cookies.

Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Fly.io) records standard server logs when you load a page: your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser type. We use these logs only to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to identify visitors, and we do not sell or share them.

Services that load parts of this page

To display the site, your browser fetches some files directly from these providers. They can see your IP address and browser information when it does:

  • Google Fonts (fonts)
  • Tailwind CSS CDN (page styling)
  • unpkg (icons)

They have their own privacy policies. We do not send them anything about you.

We link to hotlines, legal resources and other organizations. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn't cover them.

When you email us

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and to help with your request. We do not sell it, use it for marketing, or share it with anyone without your permission, unless the law requires it.

Please don't email us intimate images. Describe what's happening, and we'll explain safe next steps.

If you're worried someone is watching your devices

If someone may be monitoring your phone, computer or email, consider visiting this site from a device they can't access, or using a private browsing window. The Safety Net project's tech safety guides explain how to do this.

Children

This website is for adults and the organizations that support survivors. If you are under 18 and an intimate image of you has been shared, Take It Down from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children can help.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the "Last updated" date.
